"Once Upon a Time..." (don't all good stories begin that way?)
...there was a young couple with just one child, a son. Now this couple was very happy with their son and loved him very much. But, as many other couples do, they wanted more children in their family. They were in a good church with younger couples having new babies. For some reason, their arms remained empty. Were they sad at times? I'm sure they were. But will they have a happy ending? After over 10 years.
Mama began to blossom and then began to bloom. There was just that special something that mamas have, a special look, a special radiance. We knew it, we rejoiced, and we thanked God with them. Our couple was going to need that baby crib once again and big brother was going to get a new brother or sister. Oh, happy day! Oh, yes, baby arrived safe and sound and like all babies, she was a keeper, a real genuine winner! They now had a little bundle to carry to church and the admireres ooed and aahed. Baby took it all in and then fell asleep. Mama and Daddy smiled contentedly and big brother decided if you can't get rid of it, let her join the family.
And what name did this little miss get? Well, "Heather" was chosen and then they chose "Joy". Was is because of the long wait and then an answer to prayer? I don't know, but it has such a delightful sound--JOY! By now you have guessed our couple is Mike and Pat Reed, big brother is Ben, and baby, well, that's our Heather.
